Base Salary
$80k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and refactor production software.
- Create functional, destructive, unit, and performance test suites.
- Design and support production-scale distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to plan and deliver valuable, testable user stories.
- Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application security, resilience, performance, and production operations.
- Lead technical discussions and initiatives while mentoring less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering or development experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in a related field.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript frameworks.
- Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java, and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, high-throughput APIs, gRPC, asynchronous communication, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Google Cloud Pub/Sub or similar messaging platforms and relational or NoSQL databases such as Spanner, AlloyDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform or AWS and using Kubernetes, PCF, or Cloud Foundry.
- Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, CI/CD practices, version control, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance testing, plus strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience leading projects or technical initiatives across cross-functional teams and communicating technical solutions to business audiences.
