Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end infrastructure for ingesting, transforming, and serving financial datasets.
- Design scalable and cost-effective data processing pipelines handling millions of documents and datapoints daily.
- Build integrations across market data vendors, proprietary sources, and third-party financial data providers.
- Structure and serve financial data to support the performance and reliability of AI models and retrieval systems.
- Develop secure, compliant, and reliable enterprise customer-data integrations.
- Lead by example through high-quality code, sound technical decisions, and ownership.
- Help foster a culture of learning, craft, collaboration, and autonomy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex, data-intensive backend systems.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP or an equivalent cloud stack in production.
- Deep Python expertise and proficiency in Rust, C++, or Java; Java is a strong plus.
- Expertise designing large-scale distributed systems with asynchronous patterns, streaming, queuing, caching, and observability.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing, plus NoSQL, Redis, and columnar data stores.
- Experience building and operating reliable, high-throughput streaming and batch data pipelines.
- 3+ years working closely with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and influence engineering direction across teams.
- Experience shipping high-quality products autonomously in unstructured, fast-moving environments.
- Passion for corporate finance, capital markets, and financial data, with strong attention to data quality.
