Base Salary

$159k - $202k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze public and private vulnerability disclosures and exploit code.
  • Assess the technical details and potential impact of vulnerabilities across Amazon infrastructure, services, and applications.
  • Investigate and triage vulnerabilities, including severity and scope-of-impact determination.
  • Support builder teams with timely security issue remediation.
  • Engineer scalable, accurate vulnerability detection mechanisms.
  • Design and implement automation, tools, and workflows to improve security operations.
  • Participate in periodic on-call responsibilities for continuous vulnerability monitoring and remediation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT security experience.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
  • 4+ years of experience in areas including application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, or penetration testing.
  • 4+ years of experience identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of scripting, programming, or security code review in Python, Java, C++, or another common language.
  • Preferred experience with AWS products and services.
