Responsibilities
- Design high-performing Java-based services in a complex system landscape.
- Conceptualize, design, and implement modern solutions using Spring Boot or Vert.X.
- Contribute to the new technology stack while maintaining existing legacy systems.
- Support software projects from initial design through production operation.
- Document software architectures and transfer technical knowledge.
- Coach and develop more junior team members.
- Participate in architecture, code, and design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- At least 2 years of proven professional software development experience.
- Experience in a sportsbook environment.
- Strong development skills with Java 18–25 using Spring Boot or Vert.X, or with .NET.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure in a cloud-first environment.
- Strong SQL and database knowledge.
- Knowledge of virtualization and containerized applications, including Kubernetes or Docker.
- Basic knowledge of Linux.
- Good English-language skills.
