Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time embedded C/C++ code for data path control, management, and telemetry.
- Develop low-level drivers and hardware abstraction layers to interface with custom DSP hardware blocks and registers.
- Implement and debug firmware-based adaptation algorithms for equalizer tap updates and VGA/TIA gain control.
- Write unit tests and participate in continuous integration flows to validate firmware across hardware revisions and emulation platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Seven years of experience in embedded C/C++ programming.
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
- Preferred: master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience using JTAG, GDB, or oscilloscopes.
- Preferred: understanding of fixed-point arithmetic optimization for resource-constrained embedded systems.
