Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, highly available application delivery and security solutions for client requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for BIG-IP, NGINX, F5 Distributed Cloud Services, and related F5 solutions.
- Lead customer technical discussions, presentations, demonstrations, proposal development, and Proofs of Concept.
- Develop solution diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans, including architectures for AI and containerized environments.
- Collaborate with sales, Product Management, and Engineering during pre-sales, implementation, deployment, and product launches.
- Troubleshoot complex F5 deployments, including deployments involving Kubernetes, AI workloads, and F5 Distributed Cloud.
- Contribute to internal methodologies, knowledge bases, white papers, blog posts, presentations, industry forums, and other thought leadership activities.
- Provide field feedback on product direction and potentially mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent level of experience.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience designing and implementing network or application delivery solutions, preferably with strong F5 experience.
- Deep technical expertise in F5 BIG-IP, including LTM, GTM, APM, and AWAF; NGINX and F5 Distributed Cloud experience are desirable.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, networking, and security principles.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AI Factories, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI Gateways, A2A concepts, and Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python or Ansible for automation and experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with F5 certifications, AI/ML application deployment or security, customer deployments, consulting or professional services, and product feedback is advantageous.
