Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and iterative refinement of data-centric and AI-powered solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand business challenges, technical requirements, and strategic objectives.
- Drive architectures from initial design through enterprise security, governance, and production readiness.
- Design and deliver distributed data platforms, multimodal data pipelines, semantic catalogs, graph-based systems, and agentic AI data architectures.
- Mentor junior team members and help shape reusable engineering assets and best practices.
- Contribute to industry thought leadership through publications, presentations, and community engagement.
- Assist sales teams by solving key customer-facing technical issues and collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in cloud computing focused on data architecture, data analytics, and data engineering.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python and Spark, and with developing and deploying data solutions.
- Experience building structured and unstructured data pipelines using vector databases and RAG-like architectures for enterprise AI solutions.
- Preferred experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed data platforms, cloud-native software, and AI-driven systems in customer-facing engineering, principal architecture, or technical consulting roles.
- Preferred experience with property or knowledge graphs using GQL, Cypher, or RDF/OWL; enterprise semantic catalogs; and multimodal data pipelines.
- Preferred experience taking data and AI systems through enterprise InfoSec and governance sign-off, implementing LLM or agent evaluation harnesses and semantic caching, and optimizing compute and queries for high-concurrency workloads.
- Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder technical transformations, quantify architectural trade-offs, and build consensus with executives.
