
Software Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Build and maintain native Android applications in Kotlin from design through production release.
- Develop mobile solutions across iOS and Android, including AI/ML-powered features and integrations with web services.
- Apply scalable and testable mobile architectures and produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
- Use Git, modern libraries, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable software delivery.
- Optimize and validate applications on real devices through profiling, debugging, performance tuning, and handling device-specific constraints.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and analyze large datasets to identify patterns and improve code hygiene and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools responsibly, validating generated code and contributing reusable practices.
- Collaborate with business partners by phone and email to clarify requirements.
Requirements
- Required experience building and maintaining native Android applications in Kotlin and delivering features through production release.
- Proficiency with Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, and Java, plus working familiarity with C++, JavaScript, Ruby, and Python.
- Experience with mobile architectures such as MVVM, MVP, or MVC and with tools including Git, Retrofit, Dagger, RxJava, Robolectric, Mockito, and Espresso.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
- Experience operating CI/CD pipelines, participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, consuming web services from mobile applications, and optimizing code for phones.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business partners and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Preferred familiarity with phone-specific optimization, testing challenges, and mobile web-service integration.
