Base Salary
$111k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, enhance, maintain, test, and optimize software applications and tools for research computing.
- Implement efficient algorithms and data structures for large datasets and complex computations.
- Integrate software with research computing infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Analyze application performance and resolve bottlenecks, memory issues, and other technical challenges.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to integrate software into research environments.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for researchers.
- Create and maintain user guides, technical specifications, and troubleshooting documentation.
- At higher levels, propose enhancements, lead software projects, manage milestones, and potentially supervise staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience for the Advanced Professional level, or 6 or more years for the Senior Professional level; equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
- Experience with code analysis, programming, software architecture, software development, and software testing.
- Experience or ability in data analysis, cross-team collaboration, presentation, technology evaluation, and trend analysis.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a government security clearance.
- Employees must participate in the ARL drug testing program and comply with applicable electronic and physical monitoring requirements.
- Active or recently active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
- A master's degree in Geography is preferred.
