Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud platform capabilities for networking, containers, compute, storage, identity, and security foundations.
  • Build reusable, standardized, and documented infrastructure primitives and platform components.
  • Implement and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or an equivalent tool.
  • Define platform standards, reference architectures, and approved implementation patterns.
  • Design for reliability through immutability, automation, ephemerality, recovery patterns, and defined failure domains.
  • Develop automation and self-service capabilities that let application teams safely consume infrastructure independently.
  • Partner with Security to implement compliance guardrails and policy-based controls for SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST, and future requirements.
  • Embed security, reliability, and cost awareness into CI/CD and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to reduce incidents through improved platform design.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance while maintaining holistic ownership of platform standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Technology and at least 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps-focused roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience operating AWS in production environments.
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience, with Terraform preferred.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills using technologies such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Strong experience with collaborative development tools such as Git and GitHub.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy.
  • Experience designing secure, scalable systems rather than manually operating them.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure best practices and design.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence technical direction without formal authority.
  • Ownership-oriented, platform-focused approach emphasizing automation, enablement, security, reliability, and continuous improvement.
