Responsibilities
- Lead the development and hands-on delivery of scalable, maintainable, performant systems from development through production.
- Act as an escalation point during and outside office hours and participate in on-call and incident-response activities.
- Apply governance to solution design and code quality while maintaining understanding of system architecture and technical structure.
- Manage work estimation and produce solution documentation.
- Guide a small team of developers in designing and developing solutions.
- Mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing, and support pairing and code reviews.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of Kafka, SQL, .NET, Golang, or React.
- Proven experience building highly scalable systems, preferably in the cloud; GCP experience is valued.
- Proficiency developing customer-centric front-end solutions.
- Exposure to NoSQL datastores.
- Leadership experience within development teams and technical project delivery.
- Capability in technical leadership, mentorship, pairing, and code reviews.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Deep understanding of large-scale, highly available, multiuser, service-based systems.
- Familiarity with on-call rotations and incident response.
