Base Salary
$125k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable backend services and features that interface with SwoopOS, web applications, and infrastructure systems.
- Design and build SDKs for internal, external, and third-party developers.
- Author reusable Python packages for functionality shared across services.
- Improve service availability and service-level performance, particularly for production Kubernetes workloads.
- Tune data storage configurations for scale and near-real-time availability in a streaming architecture.
- Collaborate with firmware, frontend, infrastructure, and third-party development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience writing scalable code and/or modern APIs using databases and distributed data sources.
- Proficient Python coding ability with a strong understanding of data structures and data models.
- Production experience with Kubernetes.
- Understanding of basic software security standards.
- Active US security clearance or ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US security clearance.
- Ability to travel 5–20%.
- Preferred experience includes asynchronous Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Solr, Rust, and handling multimedia data structures.
