Base Salary
$172k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize execution engines, JIT/AOT compilation pipelines, and memory-management systems.
- Build scalable, reusable, and high-quality software using sound architecture, code review, and unit-testing practices.
- Own software from requirements and design through implementation, test automation, and delivery.
- Develop platform functionality that enables customers to extend and customize applications.
- Mentor colleagues and promote knowledge sharing in low-level systems engineering, profiling, and optimization.
- Coordinate work across teams and processes and potentially serve as a functional lead or technical owner.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language, including at least 5+ years working on compiler, runtime, JIT/AOT, or language-execution systems.
- Strong experience with execution engines, memory management, concurrency, compilation, performance optimization, profiling, and debugging.
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and systems-level performance and scalability.
- Passion for JavaScript and the Web platform, with experience in Angular, React, or Vue.
- Experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases.
- Experience integrating AI into software development, workflows, decision-making, or automation using AI-powered tools and technologies.
- Experience with LLVM, language-runtime development, or low-level systems engineering is a strong plus.
- Experience working across cloud, platform, web, framework, and service-oriented technology stacks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with significant technical risk across teams and processes.

- Base pay of $171,900 - $300,800, plus equity when applicable and variable or incentive compensation.
