Base Salary
$109k - $163k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Karate, Cypress, JUnit, and Postman.
- Develop and execute JMeter performance tests to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build and maintain tests for microservices, including service interactions and system behavior.
- Review automation code, investigate test and production failures, and collaborate with developers on root-cause analysis.
- Maintain testing documentation, performance benchmarks, and processes while increasing coverage and reducing regressions.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in SDET, software testing, or quality engineering roles.
- Strong Java development skills and understanding of applications built with the Spring framework.
- Experience querying relational databases with SQL and scripting knowledge, preferably Python.
- Hands-on experience with Karate or equivalent test automation frameworks and JMeter performance testing.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and applications deployed on Kubernetes or similar container platforms.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills within Agile engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred qualifications include additional test automation tooling, CI/CD pipeline integration, security testing principles, software development lifecycles, release processes, and formal testing or quality engineering certification.
