Base Salary
$170k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, scalability, stress, peak-load, endurance, and chaos testing strategies.
- Build and maintain scalable API, UI, end-to-end, performance, and regression automation frameworks.
- Validate cloud security workflows across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including resource discovery, policy computation, flow ingestion, visualization, and compliance.
- Partner with engineering and product teams on acceptance criteria, testability, shift-left quality, defect triage, root cause analysis, and release readiness.
- Test enterprise-scale scenarios involving thousands of workloads, hundreds of VPCs or VNets, millions of flow records, and large policy and inventory datasets.
- Validate database failovers, Kafka failures and lag, network partitions, cloud API throttling, pod failures, out-of-memory scenarios, graceful degradation, fault tolerance, recovery, and high availability.
- Own CI/CD quality gates and improve automation reliability, execution time, and release confidence.
- Drive cross-module integration testing across User Console, CloudSecure services, Policy Compute Engine, and supporting platform services.
- Develop tooling for self-service test environments, test data, and automation execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience building automation for SaaS or cloud-native distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Experience designing automation for APIs, UIs, and distributed microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including networking and security constructs such as VPCs, VNets, Security Groups, Firewalls, and IAM.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
- Ability to debug application code and identify root causes with developers.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as k6, Locust, JMeter, or Gatling is preferred.
- Experience profiling distributed-system performance and identifying bottlenecks is preferred.
- Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry is preferred.
- Experience with Litmus, Gremlin, or Chaos Monkey is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform is preferred.
- Understanding of network security, segmentation, firewall policies, and cloud networking is preferred.
- Experience testing enterprise-scale multi-tenant SaaS platforms is preferred.
