Base Salary
$130k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, satellites, and related systems.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
- Support the mission of providing secure and reliable Internet access to underserved communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes security improvements for complex systems, TPMs, HSMs, TCP/IP, UDP-based protocols, and navigating large interactive systems.
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Must communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively, learn new technologies quickly, and handle ambiguity.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
