Base Salary
$130k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Starshield security infrastructure, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starshield routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline.
- Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Graduating in the class of 2026 or 2027.
- Preferred experience includes contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with trusted platform modules (TPMs) and hardware security modules (HSMs).
- Preferred understanding of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols.
- Preferred advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
- An active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $130,000.00-$160,000.00 for Level 1 and $150,000.00-$195,000.00 for Level 2.
