Responsibilities

Design, implement, and test features and bug fixes in performance tooling and infrastructure using Python.
Contribute to performance workloads and benchmarking pipelines for evaluating MongoDB products.
Maintain and improve existing performance testing software by refactoring code and enhancing test coverage.
Work with teammates to debug and diagnose performance or reliability issues.
Participate in code reviews, asking questions and incorporating feedback.
Help maintain accurate documentation and guides for performance tooling.
Build strong relationships with engineers across MongoDB to represent user needs.
Take ownership of small-to-medium scoped projects over time.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Python.
Experience in writing and testing software through internships, projects, or coursework.
Interest in modern software delivery practices and a curiosity to learn more.
Growing skills in clear written and verbal communication.
A growth mindset, seeking feedback and opportunities for improvement.
