Responsibilities
- Own the multi-region data architecture across six AWS-native engines.
- Define and own the per-tier RTO and RPO commitments.
- Sequence the data-layer cutover across all program phases.
- Lead a team of Database Engineers and set the technical bar.
- Translate data-layer constraints into application decomposition strategies.
- Produce audit-grade artifacts for clients and regulators.
Requirements
- 12+ years in database engineering and architecture.
- At least 5 years in a Principal or Staff-level architect role.
- Experience designing multi-region active-passive and active-active data architectures on AWS.
- Deep experience with Aurora MySQL and at least three other AWS database engines.
- Experience with monolith decomposition and managing transitional data patterns.
- Fintech or payments domain experience with regulatory knowledge.
