Responsibilities
- Design and implement CI and test-orchestration services, tools, and pipelines for FlashArray and FlashBlade engineering teams.
- Build developer-facing services, CLIs, APIs, and scripts for CI and release workflow onboarding, configuration, and debugging.
- Define and automate quality gates and signals such as run rates, pass rates, flakiness thresholds, coverage, and escape metrics.
- Develop metrics, queries, and dashboards to monitor CI and release health and drive targeted improvements.
- Integrate observability through metrics, logs, traces, and alerts to reduce incident detection and resolution time.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident triage and mitigation, and follow through on root-cause fixes.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects improving CI and release quality, developer experience, and reliability.
- Enable testbeds, test plans, and CI workflows for hardware NPI qualification.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, production engineering, SRE, or DevOps, including ownership of backend services or tooling.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, distributed systems understanding, and experience improving reliability, performance, or product quality.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python or Go, plus strong scripting skills such as Bash or Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI tooling such as Jenkins, pipeline-as-code, job configuration using Groovy or an equivalent DSL, and multi-job CI workflows.
- Practical database and query skills, including SQL or analytics platforms, and experience using metrics to improve CI and release processes.
- Solid Linux/Unix fundamentals and ability to debug issues across operating system, network, storage, and application layers.
- Experience supporting hardware NPI programs, including test planning, issue triage, and readiness tracking across engineering, TPM, and lab teams.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and time zones, influence stakeholders, take ownership, and help others improve their CI, release, and quality engineering practices.
