Base Salary

$140k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain scalable, deterministic, and reproducible build systems for secondary ECU software
  • Own compilation, linking, packaging, versioning, and generation of ECU firmware, bootloaders, application binaries, calibration files, and configuration artifacts
  • Manage build configurations across ECU variants, hardware revisions, and vehicle programs
  • Optimize build performance through parallelization, caching, and distributed build execution
  • Own artifact storage, versioning, traceability, retention, and lifecycle management
  • Maintain traceability from source code through builds and artifacts to vehicle releases
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • Implement embedded software cross-compilation, static analysis, validation checks, and automated unit, integration, and HIL testing
  • Deliver secure artifacts to integration, vehicle builds, OTA systems, and manufacturing pipelines
  • Develop custom ECU builds and vehicle-level multi-ECU software packages for specific test or vehicle configurations
  • Coordinate release schedules, Q-gate secondary ECU artifacts, and resolve integration issues

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU-level software stacks, automotive communication protocols, UDS diagnostics, and diagnostic communication tools
  • Expertise with Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Proficiency with ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
  • Experience developing and verifying plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for hardware-in-the-loop testing with dSpace ControlDesk and AutomationDesk
  • Familiarity with embedded systems software, electrical/electronic systems, and vehicle architecture
  • Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS, and vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe
  • Expertise in complex problem solving, data analysis, and communicating results with extended teams
  • Knowledge of automotive design and development processes, system requirements, and general engineering practices
