Base Salary
$200k - $330k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship secure-by-default systems spanning privacy, identity, authentication, authorization, and data security
- Implement and evolve identity management, access control, auditability, and data lifecycle management systems
- Build controls to prevent AI agents from leaking customer data, taking unauthorized actions, or behaving unexpectedly
- Design runtime policy enforcement for tool use and safe agent sandboxing
- Create developer-friendly security tooling and automate security checks in CI/CD
- Enforce privacy boundaries through schema validation and instrument runtime monitoring for sensitive events
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to balance usability, performance, and security
Requirements
- Production software engineering experience with Python, Go, or TypeScript
- Experience designing APIs and integrating with authentication or identity frameworks
- Ability to design systems with attention to data flows, storage, access, least privilege, and transparency
- Ability to partner with product and platform teams on secure, pragmatic trade-offs
- Preferred experience with privacy, identity, trust and safety, authorization, authentication, or data protection systems
- Preferred experience building security frameworks, libraries, or developer tooling
- Preferred experience integrating security automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to AI systems or secure-by-default LLM applications is preferred
- Experience finding or fixing real security issues in production systems is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a 0-to-1 environment balancing speed, reliability, and trust
