Responsibilities
- Visit manufacturing sites and warehouses to shadow logistics, manufacturing, and procurement teams and identify operational bottlenecks.
- Translate frontline feedback into user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and prototype requirements.
- Write, test, and refine documented Python code for AI-enabled prototypes.
- Support the construction and tuning of RAG pipelines, semantic search indices, and multi-agent workflows.
- Configure APIs connecting AI applications to platforms such as Poka and Weaver and to document repositories.
- Clean, structure, and prepare documents, telemetry feeds, and SQL database exports for AI ingestion.
- Participate in backlog management, standups, sprint planning, and prototype iteration based on operator feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or digital technology delivery.
- Robust Python experience, including Pandas, NumPy, and requests, plus knowledge of object-oriented programming and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Gemini and basic RAG architectures, including experience from academic projects, bootcamps, or personal portfolios.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong communication skills, curiosity, willingness to learn, and willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities.
- Preferred: familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, Microsoft Azure, Git, GitHub, Docker, and supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
