Base Salary
$160k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build automation that operates, enforces, and self-remediates security controls across cloud, infrastructure, and identity systems.
- Build integrations across cloud APIs, identity providers, SCIM provisioning, vulnerability scanners, and ticketing systems.
- Automate continuous collection, validation, and reporting of compliance evidence.
- Build dashboards and pipelines showing control status, security gaps, and audit readiness.
- Translate security framework requirements into practical, testable, code-driven controls.
- Improve vulnerability monitoring, prioritization, patching, and response across the cloud footprint.
- Design and build internal security systems such as vulnerability risk management and web application firewalls.
- Review RFCs and partner with engineering teams on security-relevant architectural decisions.
- Participate in the security team’s on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a software, security, infrastructure, or platform engineering role.
- Strong coding ability with experience building and maintaining tooling in Python or Go.
- Experience automating workflows and integrating systems through APIs.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments, ideally AWS, including security and identity controls.
- Interest in engineering security and compliance solutions rather than managing them manually.
- Ability to work across system design and hands-on implementation.
- Eligibility to access export-controlled technology and information without additional U.S. government authorization, unless authorization can be obtained.
- Experience with security platforms such as SIEM, IAM/IdP, vulnerability management, EDR, and cloud security tools is preferred.
- Experience with compliance automation or GRC tooling is preferred.
- Experience with FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, Texas RAMP, or CJIS-aligned environments is preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes debugging, operations, or automation is preferred.
- Background supporting government, defense, or highly regulated customers is preferred.
