Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Android Automotive OS features using Kotlin.
  • Design and implement Android application- and framework-level components.
  • Integrate and customize HAL interfaces for automotive hardware.
  • Collaborate with framework, BSP, and hardware teams on end-to-end system integration.
  • Debug and resolve system- and application-level issues across Android layers.
  • Develop automotive services, applications, and middleware components.
  • Optimize performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and stability of Android-based automotive systems.
  • Follow Android architecture guidelines and automotive standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Android development with a strong focus on Kotlin.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and good understanding of Java.
  • Experience with Android Automotive OS and hands-on AAOS and HAL integration.
  • Understanding of Android Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
  • Knowledge of HAL, AIDL/HIDL, Android system internals, AOSP, and the Android build system.
  • Experience debugging with ADB, logcat, and performance tools.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, and collaborative abilities.
  • Experience with automotive infotainment or cockpit platforms, Vehicle HAL, automotive Android services, Jetpack libraries, Android security concepts, performance tuning, memory optimization, system profiling, ISO 26262, or ASPICE is preferred.
