Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cross-region continuity workflows and orchestration systems for site-switch and disaster-recovery activation.
- Build validation frameworks, observability tooling, dashboards, telemetry, and readiness signals for continuous recovery validation.
- Define cross-system continuity contracts, integration boundaries, and readiness standards with service-owning teams.
- Identify and retire manual recovery steps through automation while documenting failure modes and success signals.
- Build operationally excellent software with runbooks, alerting, observability hooks, and deployable patterns for SRE and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- Require 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, or platform reliability engineering.
- Require experience building workflow orchestration, automation pipelines, or control-plane systems at scale.
- Require strong proficiency in at least one systems or backend language, including Java, Go, Python, or equivalent.
- Require experience with observability tooling, telemetry design, and operational dashboards.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with SDB, HBase, ZooKeeper, BookKeeper, or comparable distributed storage systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with chaos engineering, fault injection, resilience testing, disaster-recovery automation, RTO/RPO programs, or business continuity engineering.
- Preferred qualifications include understanding of multi-region cell architectures and cross-region dependency management.

- The stated base salary range is $148,500-$223,900 annually, or $178,900-$246,000 annually in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan locations; bonus, equity, and benefits are excluded from these ranges.
