Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in software design, development, testing, and delivery.
  • Balance hands-on coding in C#, Angular, and APL with leadership of automation initiatives.
  • Define and own team-level test architecture, quality strategy, coverage, test metrics, and quality KPIs.
  • Drive automation-first practices and represent the combined development and QA approach in cross-team forums.
  • Mentor, coach, motivate, and guide engineers in development, automation, testing, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical leads, architects, and other stakeholders to align technical and quality goals.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for complex defects and implement preventive actions.
  • Improve tools, CI/CD pipelines, engineering processes, productivity, and software quality.
  • Represent the team in technical forums and contribute to cross-team knowledge exchange.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with combined development and QA responsibilities.
  • Expertise in .NET and C#, with working knowledge of Angular.
  • Demonstrated leadership that improved engineering-team efficiency and project success.
  • Extensive experience with E2E, API, and integration test automation and test strategy.
  • Strong experience architecting and developing enterprise-scale applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructures, including Microsoft Azure.
  • Deep expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, TeamCity, and Azure DevOps.
  • Thorough understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and Domain-Driven Design.
  • Familiarity with XP practices including TDD, pair programming, and continuous integration.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Readiness to learn APL and develop new features and debug existing functionality.
  • Proficient written and spoken English communication skills at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
  • Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms is desirable.
  • FinTech, capital markets, financial domain, or derivatives experience is desirable.
