Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy for the team on a year-long time scale.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to manage technical sustainability and risks.
- Define and advocate for technical solutions and operational processes.
- Ensure team operations and availability through effective monitoring and alerting.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards.
- Develop talent on the team through feedback and guidance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in designing and launching backend systems using Python or Kotlin.
- Extensive experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with FinOps or cost-visibility platforms, including building dashboards and anomaly detection.
- Proven track record of building automation or tooling for scalable cost-review processes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud billing data and complex SQL for cost modeling.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
