Responsibilities
- Develop and support scalable order and revenue-critical systems for the ticket marketplace.
- Help guide the direction of technology systems and develop experiments, algorithms, and features that improve marketplace value and efficiency.
- Build APIs, event-driven services, asynchronous consumers and producers, and production-ready software solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to plan, design, decompose, and iteratively deliver objectives.
- Maintain software development lifecycle best practices, automated tests, integration tests, observability, and production debugging practices.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical talks.
- Identify system improvements, implement and ship changes, and communicate their impact.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in backend or distributed systems.
- Strong Java experience; Spring Boot experience is highly preferred.
- Experience building REST APIs, event-driven services, or asynchronous consumers and producers.
- Familiarity with relational databases and data-access patterns; MyBatis or similar experience is a plus.
- Experience with automated testing, integration testing, CI/CD, and production debugging.
- Comfort working with payment, ordering, accounting, tax, fraud, or customer-service systems.
- Ability to reason about correctness, idempotency, failure handling, retries, reconciliation, and auditability in transaction-heavy systems.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exposure to design systems and A/B testing.
- Willingness to use and integrate AI tools to improve efficiency and work quality.
