Base Salary
$150k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own software engineering problems end-to-end and make architectural decisions shaping the core system.
- Build search and ranking systems across 200M+ places and millions of events.
- Develop recommendations and personalization using embeddings, structured data, and social signals.
- Build real-time chat, presence, and location infrastructure.
- Develop AI agent pipelines for planning, retrieval, and reasoning over diverse data sources.
- Create map display algorithms and data pipelines for large volumes of unstructured web data.
- Optimize Elasticsearch and vector search for sub-100ms latency across large datasets.
- Build full-stack mobile and web features from user interface through backend services.
Requirements
- 0–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience building real-time or low-latency production systems.
- Proficiency in search, ranking algorithms, and related infrastructure.
- Experience with data processing pipelines, ML/AI workflows, or data engineering.
- Track record of infrastructure and performance optimization at scale.
- Prior early-stage startup experience and comfort operating with high ambiguity.
- Ability to own features end-to-end while collaborating across product, design, and engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and fast decision-making skills.
