Base Salary
$116k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and enforce application architecture and integrity in collaboration with architects and technical leads.
- Lead teams while performing hands-on software development and coding.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain coding quality and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and help build team capabilities.
- Communicate project risks, issues, and mitigations to stakeholders.
- Lead innovation efforts and apply modern technologies to solve customer problems.
- Design and develop REST and SOAP API services as both a consumer and provider.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of application software development experience.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and Java or .NET frameworks.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, Angular or React, XML, XSLT, and SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST and SOAP API services.
- Experience with continuous integration and DevOps tools including GitHub, Jenkins, Rally, and SonarQube.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance and low-code platforms such as Duck Creek.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of implementing solutions through generative AI is a plus.
