Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements with engineering and program management teams and translate them into technical designs.
- Present technical designs to software engineering, program management, and other stakeholders.
- Implement, unit test, component test, verify, deploy, and support software components and applications.
- Investigate and resolve requirement violations found during functional testing and in production software.
- Track and report task, deliverable, and issue status while managing multiple assignments.
- Follow corporate software development processes and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor less experienced software engineers and contribute to task management activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience, graduate degree and at least two years of related experience, or eight years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least four years of progressively advanced commercial or government software development experience.
- Four years of experience with object-oriented software development, real-time environments, C#, WPF, XAML, Visual Studio, software testing, source code management, defect tracking, design patterns, UML, TCP/UDP, and hardware/software API development.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, regulatory standards affecting software development, multithreaded application development, and Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Java experience may substitute for C# experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure DevOps source control, Git, YAML pipeline and release development, collaboration, task estimation, complex design specifications, and effective written and verbal communication.
