Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable Marketplace platform services such as purchase orders, contract terms, invoicing rails, and workflow or status state machines
- Build prototypes and MVPs for new marketplace products while working directly with customers and iterating based on feedback
- Improve quality, usability, adoption, and workflow efficiency for launched products
- Build and refine agent harnesses and AI/LLM-integrated workflows for extracting and reasoning over unstructured documents
- Use internal evaluation tooling to test and improve AI-integrated systems
- Participate in customer discovery and synthesize findings for product and engineering leads
- Partner with staff engineers on system design and mentor newer engineers informally
- Identify and fix workflow friction within assigned projects
Requirements
- Typically 4–7 years of software engineering experience with solid backend and distributed-systems fundamentals
- Experience shipping a technical MVP or prototype from concept to a customer-testable state
- Experience building with or integrating LLM providers or document-extraction tooling, or strong aptitude and interest in developing those skills
- Exposure to agent harnesses, RAG pipelines, or other AI/LLM-integrated workflows is preferred
- Data engineering, ML, or document-processing experience is a meaningful plus
- Comfort working across the stack and collaborating closely with product
- Experience in financial services, construction, real estate, payments, lending, insurance, or other complex B2B environments is a meaningful differentiator but is not required
