Base Salary
$124k - $329k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the Sessions and Tasks APIs in Go using Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Blob Storage, and Event Hubs.
- Own the agent registry, remote steering model, and authorization policies for session control.
- Design and evolve OpenAPI specifications and coordinate schema changes across client and platform teams.
- Create architecture decision records and proposals for capabilities including the Agent Host Protocol, secure token relay, and unified agent steering.
- Deliver staged, feature-flagged rollouts across dotcom, GHES, and Proxima tenants.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, pairing, mentoring, and pull request reviews.
- Partner on distributed systems, Kubernetes/Kustomize deployments, Terraform-managed Azure infrastructure, service health, and on-call practices.
- Collaborate with security, IAM, identity, authentication, and enterprise policy teams to deliver well-tested platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering or related technical experience with production software development, or an allowed associate, bachelor's, master's, doctorate, or equivalent-experience alternative.
- At least 3 years of Go or Ruby experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- At least 3 years building and operating distributed backend systems, including API design, data modeling, and production ownership.
- At least 2 years designing and evolving public or partner-facing APIs, including versioning and backward-compatibility decisions.
- Experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
- Ability to own significant components end to end and lead designs through scale, security review, and cross-team delivery.
