Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-traffic WordPress websites, custom themes, plugins, landing pages, and digital assets.
- Translate wireframes, mockups, and UI/UX specifications from Figma or Sketch into pixel-perfect WordPress interfaces.
- Optimize websites for speed, scalability, accessibility, SEO, responsive behavior, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Manage website security and updates, troubleshoot technical issues, and integrate marketing and analytics tools.
- Collaborate with Design, Content, and Marketing teams on engaging, conversion-focused digital experiences.
- Write clean, documented, efficient PHP, HTML, CSS/Sass, and JavaScript/jQuery code using Git for version control.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a WordPress Developer.
- A demonstrated portfolio of custom-built websites.
- Expert proficiency in WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and JavaScript/jQuery.
- Experience with Custom Post Types and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields).
- Understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centered design, conversion rate optimization, responsive design, and mobile-first layouts.
- Familiarity with web performance best practices, cross-browser compatibility issues, and Git.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
