Responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture, governance, design standards, risk management, non-functional requirements, and technical-debt reduction for complex AWS cloud engagements.
- Design AWS-based agentic AI platforms, including orchestration, RAG, memory, guardrails, gateways, and MCP integrations.
- Advise clients on Agentic Commerce standards including ACP, AP2, A2A, and secure payment models.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitate technical discovery workshops, and translate complex concepts for clients.
- Identify, shape, and pitch technical solutions that support account growth and commercial opportunities.
- Prove technical solutions hands-on, review code, and design robust API and integration patterns.
- Champion Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, automation, and quality-first engineering practices.
- Mentor engineers and architects and share knowledge across the account and practice.
Requirements
- Senior or principal architect experience in a digital agency or consultancy, including development-team leadership, client workshops, and business-growth support.
- Deep hands-on experience designing, documenting, and delivering resilient, high-availability enterprise applications on AWS, including serverless architectures.
- Strong understanding of building agentic AI platforms on AWS, including Bedrock, orchestration, RAG, gateways, and MCP.
- Strong software development experience, ideally with TypeScript or JavaScript, plus API design, documentation, and versioning experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and automated tooling.
- Excellent written, verbal, and diagrammatic communication skills for engaging senior stakeholders.
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification at minimum, is preferred.
- AWS Specialty certifications such as Security or Data/ML are preferred.
- Familiarity with the C4 model, diagrams-as-code, DevOps practices, headless architectures, and practical enterprise use of LLMs is preferred.
