Base Salary
$124k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, debug, and maintain GPU power- and performance-management software focused on P-states and DVFS.
- Develop policies and mechanisms that optimize GPU performance, power, thermal behavior, and energy efficiency for data-center workloads.
- Support software features across requirements, architecture, implementation, pre-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, productization, and production support.
- Define and implement hardware-software interfaces with GPU architects and hardware designers.
- Analyze workloads, clocks, voltages, power limits, thermals, telemetry, and system-level policies.
- Investigate and resolve power, performance, stability, and reliability issues across firmware, drivers, hardware, and platform software.
- Execute validation and automation for functional correctness, transition latency, performance-per-watt, and robustness.
- Document technical features and interface definitions while collaborating with distributed architecture, ASIC, firmware, driver, validation, platform, and data-center systems teams.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or strong coursework, internship, co-op, or project experience in system software.
- Strong C programming skills and the ability to develop, debug, and maintain low-level kernel software.
- Understanding of operating-system fundamentals, computer architecture, device-driver architecture, embedded or real-time software, concurrency, interrupt handling, and hardware programming.
- Ability to debug and analyze across multiple software and hardware layers and understand hardware specifications and software interface definitions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes GPU, CPU, accelerator, or SoC power and performance management; P-states; DVFS; clock and voltage control; thermal management; validation; scripting or automation; telemetry analysis; and hardware-software interactions.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for software engineering, coding, validation, or automation workflows is preferred.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $124,000-$195,500 for Level 2 and $152,000-$241,500 for Level 3, with additional equity and benefits.
