Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement system integrations spanning Android applications, inter-CPU communication frameworks, RTOS ecosystems, and Level 2 payment kernels.
- Own the architecture, configuration, testing, certification, and continuous operation of Level 2 and Level 3 payment kernels across international payment schemes.
- Develop payment features including dynamic currency conversion, offline transactions, mobile wallets, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and contactless payment networks.
- Partner with product management and global certification bodies on specifications, audits, and international device certification.
- Investigate and resolve system integration issues, application bugs, and infrastructure bottlenecks across diverse device fleets.
- Maintain terminal uptime and performance and participate in a regular team-wide production-support on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software delivery and systems engineering experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building, configuring, or supporting EMV Level 2 and/or Level 3 payment kernels.
- Proven experience with Android device or platform system architecture, design patterns, and internal frameworks.
- Strong command of at least two AOSP programming languages: Java, C, C++, or Kotlin.
- Experience building native Android applications with Kotlin, including UI performance optimization and dynamic screen adaptation.
- Working knowledge of Git, Gerrit, PKI, HSMs, card encryption/decryption, and certificate management.
- Preferred experience with embedded systems, MCU/ARM Cortex environments, RTOS, advanced C scripting, EMVCo standards, and PCI/PTS compliance.
