Base Salary

$207k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural strategy, team vision, project priorities, deliverables, and production support for Linux Kernel Networking.
  • Design, develop, test, and enhance large-scale Linux kernel networking solutions and PCIe-related device drivers for high-throughput and low-latency performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide distributed engineers while supporting career development and high engineering standards.
  • Drive alignment across cross-organizational teams on goals, roadmaps, dependencies, and planet-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute directly to the upstream kernel and use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, and deployment workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience programming in C++.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
  • 5 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • Experience with systems programming in C or C++, Linux kernel internals, and large-scale system architecture design.
  • Preferred: master's degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Preferred: 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • Preferred: 3 years working in complex, matrixed, cross-functional, or cross-business environments.
  • Preferred: experience with PCIe interfaces, device driver development, advanced network protocols, or kernel-level networking performance optimization.

Benefits

  • US base pay is listed at $207000-$300000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
