Responsibilities
- Develop performance and resiliency test scenarios and synthetic test data based on data distribution and volume requirements.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using JMeter, Gremlin, and the in-house test automation framework.
- Validate non-functional requirements and contribute to performance testing and tuning for distributed applications.
- Maintain traceability across non-functional requirements, performance test scenarios, and defects.
- Track defects to closure, report test results, monitor execution milestones, and escalate issues as needed.
- Partner with application development, IT Architecture, and other stakeholders to assess application designs against resiliency principles.
- Contribute to technical aspects of delivery pipeline adoption and adhere to documented process standards.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Basic Java and Selenium development skills with significant experience applying them in test environments.
- Experience with chaos engineering or resiliency testing for distributed applications using tools such as Gremlin or AWS FIS.
- Ability to interpret technical designs and specifications and design automated solutions.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and developing shell scripts.
- Experience in performance engineering, including analysis, testing, tuning, and JMeter scripting.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of performance analysis for Linux, Windows, AWS, containers, and VMware environments.
- Familiarity with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, and TeamQuest is required or preferred as applicable.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment; AWS tools experience is a plus.
