Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, implement, and automate performance and resiliency test scenarios based on non-functional requirements and DTCC testing guidelines.
- Maintain traceability across non-functional requirements, performance test scenarios, and defects, and track defects through closure.
- Review test scenarios, report results, supervise test execution, and identify performance, resiliency, scalability, environment, and data requirements.
- Contribute to delivery-pipeline adoption for performance testing and collaborate with development, testing, and architecture teams to improve test coverage.
- Analyze application and distributed-platform performance, share performance-improvement recommendations, and support risk and control processes.
- Mentor team members on performance and resiliency test coverage, scenarios, and non-functional requirements.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in performance engineering, including analysis, testing, and tuning.
- Experience with resiliency and chaos engineering and expertise with load-testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS services, CI/CD pipeline implementations, Jenkins or similar tools, and distributed platforms including Linux, Windows, containers, VMware, and AWS.
- Experience with performance-analysis tools including Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, and TeamQuest.
- Experience with Unix or Linux environments, statistical and analytical modeling, time-series analysis, forecasting, queuing-network and simulation modeling, and tools such as Metron-Athene, HyPerformix, and BMC.
- Experience with Perl, Unix shell, Python, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, JMS/IBM MQ, RESTful web services, JSON, XML, and relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Strong analytical, Excel statistical-function, PowerPoint presentation, communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
- Experience working with Agile teams, preferably Scrum; financial-services industry experience is preferred.
