Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise endpoint and VDI asset validation across Windows laptops, VDI, vPod, VDI servers, virtual machines, and macOS after patches, upgrades, and releases.
- Define accelerated testing SLAs, execution models, entry and exit criteria, automation runbooks, and defect triage workflows.
- Deliver release certification with pass/fail results, defect classifications, risk assessments, and go/no-go recommendations.
- Drive functional, regression, application, compatibility, and performance testing using standardized test cases and Login VSI workloads.
- Build and scale automation frameworks using Python, PowerShell, APIs, and command-line tooling for validation, health checks, telemetry, and evidence generation.
- Track CPU, memory, disk, logon time, application response, and Login VSI performance metrics against baselines.
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and applications, including logs, services, drivers, kernel and CPU behavior, networking, login delays, and endpoint agent conflicts.
- Lead patch-cycle command center execution, escalation, communication, quality reporting, and continuous improvement of the ETE testing ecosystem.
- Maintain audit-ready validation evidence, patch readiness metrics, risk controls, and vulnerability remediation alignment.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, with 8–12 or more years preferred in infrastructure engineering, endpoint testing, endpoint management, VDI operations, EUC engineering, QA automation, or enterprise technology operations.
- Hands-on experience validating Windows laptops, VDI, vPod, and macOS devices after patches, application upgrades, security agent updates, and platform changes.
- Strong Windows troubleshooting skills covering logs, services, drivers, kernel and CPU behavior, memory and disk performance, networking, profiles, login experience, and endpoint agents.
- Experience with functional, regression, application, compatibility, and performance testing using standardized test cases and enterprise testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with Login VSI or a comparable virtual desktop or application performance testing tool.
- Strong Python automation experience and working knowledge of C#, C++, PowerShell, REST/API integration, and command-line automation.
- Knowledge of SCCM/MECM and/or Microsoft Intune patch deployment and endpoint validation workflows.
- Application troubleshooting experience covering launches, functional validation, crashes, hangs, dependencies, and performance symptoms.
- Preferred experience with SysTrack/Lakeside, endpoint telemetry, Windows Event Viewer, PerfMon, WMI/CIM, log analytics, and macOS endpoint validation.
- Ability to lead engineers, assign ownership, coordinate across teams, manage compressed release priorities, and produce executive-ready reporting.
- Preferred experience in regulated enterprise environments with change validation, risk controls, audit evidence, and ITIL-aligned operations.
- Preferred experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 Cloud PC, Citrix DaaS, hybrid endpoint environments, cloud-managed endpoint platforms, enterprise endpoint agents, automated dashboards, and AI-assisted testing concepts.
