Base Salary
$145k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and maintain fast, stable, intuitive Android experiences for Perchwell users.
- Lead Android initiatives from technical design through launch while driving execution and quality.
- Contribute to Android architecture, codebase structure, scalability, maintainability, and testability.
- Help define Android standards and technical direction as the team and technology scale.
- Collaborate with backend, product, design, QA, senior engineers, and leadership to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Improve the mobile product as a competitive differentiator and extension of the Perchwell platform.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional Android development experience with strong Kotlin and modern Android ecosystem expertise, including Jetpack, Compose, Coroutines, and dependency injection.
- Demonstrated ownership of features from design through release with growing impact across the codebase.
- Experience identifying and resolving recurring mobile reliability and scalability issues.
- Experience contributing to technical direction, engineering standards, and architectural decisions.
- Ability to translate complex user needs and business requirements into durable technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills with backend and product partners.
- Preferred experience designing modular Android architectures with feature modules, shared libraries, and dependency management strategies.
- Familiarity with backend systems and APIs and with designing robust client-server contracts for mobile applications.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, mobile build organization, and automated testing tracks.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
