Responsibilities
- Design and build applications for the Android platform.
- Implement requirements for Android applications and write or update design documentation.
- Evaluate and implement technologies that improve development efficiency.
- Interface with software testing teams to ensure product quality.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests.
- Participate in design, code, and test reviews.
- Propose and implement application enhancements that improve sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or the stated equivalent Master's-degree pathway.
- At least 2 years of native Android application development experience using Kotlin and 3 years of professional software development experience overall.
- Expert-level Kotlin skills with strong Coroutines and asynchronous programming experience.
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms and deep understanding of Android architecture and MVVM, MVI, and MVP design patterns.
- Experience integrating REST APIs using Retrofit.
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale, multi-module Android applications.
- Experience writing automated tests with Espresso and Mockito, with a focus on test reliability and eliminating flaky tests.
- Experience working in Agile teams with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with version control tools including Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, along with GitFlow.
- Preferred experience with Jetpack libraries, Compose custom UI components, performance optimization, Navigation, Java, dependency injection using Hilt or Dagger, Koin, and data encryption and security fundamentals.
