Responsibilities
- Lead security initiatives and continuously improve the security posture of Coupang Play services, platforms, critical assets, and data.
- Develop and maintain security-focused libraries, tools, and automation scripts.
- Design and implement secure software solutions and integrate security controls into services, platforms, and development workflows.
- Partner with software engineers, platform engineers, and Coupang Infosec to define, document, enforce, and adopt security policies and standards.
- Perform security-focused code reviews, threat modeling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
- Evaluate and implement security and governance tools and integrate guardrails into coding and CI/CD workflows.
- Respond to security incidents, including detailed analysis and forensic investigations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and security guidance to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong software engineering experience building secure applications and services.
- Ability to write, review, and optimize secure code using practices such as input validation and encryption.
- Strong understanding of cryptography, PKI, secure authentication protocols, and authentication and authorization in microservices environments.
- Expertise in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, WAFs, and micro-segmentation.
- Experience integrating security guardrails and tools into design, coding, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience securing services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, Python or Bash, and one general-purpose language, Go or Java.
- Ability to communicate complex security risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Preferred experience contributing to open-source security tools or frameworks.
- Professional English communication skills are preferred.
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty or an equivalent Azure/GCP certification is preferred.
