Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, build, and support system designs, architectures, and software for Ring IoT products.
- Develop embedded software in C/C++ and implement hardware/software, firmware, and IoT interfaces.
- Participate in design reviews for embedded systems, simulations, algorithms, and software development.
- Define and refine system requirements and deliver interoperability features such as health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and self-healing automation.
- Contribute across design, architecture, development, documentation, testing, operations, prototyping, experiments, and proof-of-concepts.
- Collaborate with business teams, vendors, product teams, and cross-functional engineering organizations.
- Identify and implement improvements to design, automation, development, testing, and operations processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience with embedded development in C/C++.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML technologies.
