Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and guide engineering decisions.
- Build and ship end-to-end, full-stack product features from discovery through production.
- Develop customer payment workflows and improve customer portals.
- Prioritize initiatives, including deciding what to build, defer, or stop.
- Address energy retail challenges involving billing, procurement, customer retention, and cost optimization.
- Contribute to engineering culture, tools, and processes, and support team growth.
Requirements
- Typically 2 to 13 years of relevant experience, with demonstrated technical ability and shipped work valued over tenure alone.
- Strong full-stack skills and experience delivering products from initial discovery through production.
- German fluency at C1 level or above.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- High ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
- Experience in or strong interest in energy retail, including billing, procurement, retention, or cost optimization.
- Hands-on individual contributor interested in shaping products and engineering practices.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of €80,000 to €120,000.
- On-site role in Berlin, Germany, with the team generally working from the office five days per week.
