Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of backend feature development using Golang, from design through deployment and support.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and performant microservices and APIs.
- Resolve reported defects efficiently while delivering features that delight users.
- Drive and uphold best practices in code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and mentoring within the engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in backend development with languages such as C/C++/Java/Ruby/Python/R/Scala.
- 1–3 years of professional experience with Golang.
- Strong understanding of SQL databases, preferably MySQL, including query optimization.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, or OpenSearch.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies.
- Demonstrated use of professional software engineering best practices across the full SDLC.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems.
- Preferred: Experience building cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS.
