Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native, Platform/Infrastructure (all genders)
HelloFreshResponsibilities
- Contribute to the brownfield-to-greenfield React Native migration across a white-labeled, multi-brand application ecosystem.
- Support the React Native monorepo and shared npm packages used across mobile and web teams.
- Maintain and improve Bitrise CI/CD pipelines and contribute to evaluating a future Expo migration.
- Design and extend Maestro end-to-end test coverage to improve release quality.
- Build and maintain Honeycomb tracing and dashboards for application health and observability.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teammates across squads, reviewing technical solutions and improving engineering practices.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while supporting application stability and reliability.
- Write technical documentation including design proposals, ADRs, and scoped technical write-ups.
Requirements
- Hands-on, regular experience using AI coding tools or agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot beyond casual experimentation.
- Deep production-tested React Native expertise with strong knowledge of both iOS and Android.
- Experience with React Native internals, performance profiling, native code bridging, platform-specific constraints, and app store release processes.
- Experience structuring specifications, tool configurations, context, and guardrails for reliable AI-agent output.
- A proven track record optimizing workflows, linting, caching, and build times for engineering organizations with 50+ developers.
- Experience managing complex build configurations, white-label applications, and monorepo architectures.
- Deep mobile engineering experience across app releases, test automation, on-device performance, and platform UX conventions.
- Ability to operate autonomously, make technical decisions in ambiguous situations, and support complex production incidents.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams through expertise, communication, and collaboration.
- Strong ownership, delivery focus, product sense, and ability to support decisions with data and user evidence.
