Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Design and implement automated tests for functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with software development teams to make code testable and automatable.
- Analyze test results and recommend product-quality improvements.
- Lead software-testing automation efforts and mentor and train junior automation engineers.
- Work with QA engineers to identify, isolate, and report software defects.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and test coverage.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Keep current with emerging testing tools, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering, Science, or Technology subject.
- Proven hands-on experience in software design, development, and maintenance.
- Experience with Windows application development and object-oriented design and development.
- Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5+, WPF, WCF, Microsoft C#, C++, and Entity Framework.
- Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with functional and systems analysis.
- Experience implementing automation frameworks and functional and non-functional automated tests.
- Experience with UI and non-UI automation for desktop applications.
- Previous leadership and management experience.
- Strong design and coding skills, ideally using C#.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, ideally Azure DevOps, is preferred.
- Experience with ClearCase, Git, TFS, test-driven development, automated build, and automated unit and end-to-end testing is desirable.
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as MSTest, NUnit, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit is desirable.
- Experience with AVEVA or competitor products, engineering-market companies, outsourced development partners, or public speaking and presentations is desirable.
